Pokopia has 7 story characters — unique Pokémon variants with specialties you won't find on any regular Pokémon. Each one guides Ditto through a region's restoration and has a role that's theirs alone.
Professor Tangrowth
Tangrowth
The first Pokémon Ditto meets upon arriving in the Withered Wasteland. Professor Tangrowth serves as the game's primary mentor, introducing Ditto to the mechanics of island restoration. A wise and warm Tangrowth covered in blue vines who has been studying the land for years.
How to Meet
Waiting at the entrance to the Withered Wasteland at the very start of the game.
Unique Ability
Appraise — the only Pokémon who can evaluate Lost Relics found during exploration, unlocking their value for trading or collection.
Peakychu
Pikachu (Variant)
A uniquely powerful Pikachu variant with glowing markings and extraordinary electrical output. Peakychu has been trying to restore power to Bleak Beach's darkened streets but lacks the infrastructure to do so. Once the electrical grid is built, Peakychu unleashes a brilliant surge of electricity that lights up the entire town.
How to Meet
Encountered early in the Bleak Beach story alongside Meowth near the entrance.
Unique Ability
Illuminate — powers the entire town simultaneously with a single surge. Unique to Peakychu; no other Pokémon can replicate this.
Mosslax
Snorlax (Variant)
A Snorlax variant covered in thick green moss, peacefully slumbering in the center of Bleak Beach. Mosslax's awakening marks the completion of the Bleak Beach restoration — once awakened by the restored electrical power, Mosslax begins eating food to boost item drop rates and rare material chances across the entire area.
How to Meet
Found asleep in Bleak Beach from the beginning; wakes up upon completing the 'Brighten Things Up' quest.
Unique Ability
Eat — consumes food to provide daily passive bonuses that increase item rarity and drop rates throughout the region.
Smearguru
Smeargle (Variant)
A Smeargle variant with a vibrant, paint-splattered appearance and an artistic personality to match. Smearguru is the island's resident furniture artist, able to repaint and redecorate any furniture piece in any color and pattern. Players bring Smearguru paint materials (created by Crush specialty Pokémon) to customize their island's aesthetic.
How to Meet
Found at the Bleak Beach Pokémon Center after initial restoration.
Unique Ability
Paint — recolors and applies custom patterns to any furniture piece. The only Pokémon with this specialty.
Chef Dente
Greedent (Variant)
A flamboyant Greedent variant who wears a chef's hat and apron, perpetually enthusiastic about cooking massive feasts. Chef Dente is the mastermind behind the Rocky Ridges party quest, able to cook Party Curry in enormous quantities. Chef Dente also travels to Sparkling Skylands to assist with building the Skyland Building's 3rd floor.
How to Meet
Encountered at the beginning of the Rocky Ridges story arc near the cooking area.
Unique Ability
Party — prepares large quantities of party food and increases cooking output for major events. Unique to Chef Dente.
DJ Rotom
Rotom (Radio Form)
A Rotom possessing an old-fashioned radio, crackling with enthusiasm and musical energy. DJ Rotom has set up a turntable in Rocky Ridges and can play any Music CD found throughout the game. Music raises the area's Mood meter, which is essential for the 'Time To Party' quest. Players must collect CDs and bring them to DJ Rotom.
How to Meet
Found near the DJ area in Rocky Ridges early in that region's story.
Unique Ability
DJ — plays Music CDs via playlists to raise area Mood. Unique to DJ Rotom.
Tinkmaster
Tinkaton (Variant)
A brilliant Tinkaton variant with an oversized hammer and engineer's goggles, obsessed with grand construction projects. Tinkmaster oversees the rebuilding of the massive abandoned Skyland Building in the Sparkling Skylands — the game's ultimate construction challenge. Tinkmaster is the only Pokémon who can create Tinkagears, essential components for Lift and Elevator Platforms.
How to Meet
Found at the top of the Skyland Building after reaching Sparkling Skylands.
Unique Ability
Engineer — creates Tinkagears used in Lift Platforms and Elevator Platforms, and leads major construction projects. Unique to Tinkmaster.
